
Wood floors are ipé (Brazilian Walnut), cabinetry and millwork throughout the residence are of various exotic species, and numerous types of natural stone were used to achieve a masterful mix of materials and textures reflective of a French country manor.
The allure of this residence is in its relationship to the surrounding neighborhood. Faced with the challenge of building a home in an established historic neighborhood, the owners’ primary focus was to maintain proper scale and use materials that would be in harmony with neighboring spaces.
